Tips and Tricks of a (formerly) retired Scrum Master - Clay Armstrong - Oct 2023

Tips and Tricks of a (formerly) retired Scrum Master - Clay Armstrong - Oct 2023

Project Management in an Agile World - Without sophisticated and expensive project management tools, how can you effectively compare and contrast the completed work compared to an original plan? I'll show you examples of simple spreadsheets that can help explain progress upwards to senior leadership as well as across to Scrum and Product teams. These spreadsheets assume that your teams are planning multiple sprints and then executing on that plan. Scrum Tips & Tricks - You're doing all the Scrum ceremonies, but are they effective? For stand-up meetings, sprint retrospectives, and sprint demo (review) meetings I'll provide some suggestions to make sure that teams stay focused on sprint goals, are effectively performing sprint retrospective meetings, and effectively communicating completed work to the audience in your sprint demo meetings. About Clay Armstrong: Clay Armstrong is an agile process manager with over 35 years experience in software development, software leadership, and agile processes at companies ranging from 5 to over 50 developers. After graduating with BSME in 1985 he transitioned to a life of software development. Currently working at Axuall, Clay is responsible for helping the software teams improve their agile processes with an eye towards quality and timely delivery of software as a service. When not assisting teams in their day to day work or helping communications up and down within the organization, he likes to play guitar and video games, ponder why his local football team cannot win the Superbowl, and wonder why he cannot stay retired.
